502 REV. SAMUEL D., son of Lucas (257), was b. April 13, 1813. He m., first, Catherine Earle, Nov. 5, 1839, who d. Oct. 26, 1860; and, second, Eliza Doremus, Nov. 1, 1861. He d. Nov. 15, 1865. A graduate of the University of the City of New York in 1838, completed his studies under the Rev. Cornelius T. Demarest, and ordained in 1839.
He was pastor of the King Street Reformed Dutch Church, New York City, and in 1853 became pastor of the Presbyterian Church at Yorktown, Westchester County, N.Y.
