The following is a summary of his services in the American Revolution:
June, 1777, fourteen days under Captain Bernardus Swartout, Dutchess County Militia; September, 1777, one month under same Captain, Colonel Johannes Freyer's (Freer's) Regiment, Dutchess County Militia. In April, 1778, he became a member of the "Classed" militia in Orange County, under Captain Hendrick Tenne, Colonel A. Hawks Hay's Regiment, Orange County Militia. From May to December, 1778, he was called out every fourth week, and rendered one month and nineteen days' actual service. From March to December, 1779, he served under the same officers, and in the same manner, two months, and from May to October, 1782, one month and twelve days.
He applied for a pension Jan. 29, 1834.
