6 LUBBERT, junior, son of Lubbert, senior, the immigrant. The date of his birth is unknown. He m. Hilletje, dau. of Pieter Pouluse, at Bergen, March 14, 1680. A member of the church at Bergen, Oct. 30, 1679, and also of the Hackensack congregation in 1686. He resided at Hackensack until his death in 1694 or 1695. His widow m. Jan Loots, at Hackensack, Oct. 12, 1695, who was born at Narrits (Norwich?) ìin old England.î

7 JURRIEN, son of Lubbert, senior, the emigrant (1), was b.
on Long Island, N.Y., shortly after 1662. He married, first, Geesie, dau. of Jan Bongeart and Angersitie Strykers, at Hackensack, in 1694; second, Antie, dau. of Siba Banta and Mary Sip,
at Hackensack, Aug. 19, 1699; third, Cornelia, dau. of Albert van Voorhees and Hilletje Wisselpenning, at Hackensack, April 17, 1703. Cornelia van Voorhees was from New Amersfoort
(Flatlands), L.I., but then of Hackensack; fourth, Leude Romein, a widow, at Hackensack, Oct. 6, 1738.
He became a member of the church at Hackensack in 1687, served as a deacon on March 18, 1694, again on March 9, 1700, elder in May, 1710, and again in May, 1722. He bought lands from Capt. John Berry at Hackensack, on Jan. 13, 1687, lying between the Hackensack and Saddle Rivers, containing 234 acres, for the sum of £30. In this deed he is named as of Essex County, and it is the first document recorded in the Clerkís office of Bergen County, N.J. Other extensive land purchases were made from Berry.
