2 HERIBERT VAN WESTERVELT, b. about 1585; m. Van Wynbergen and had issue, two sons:

4 Dirck, b. about 1615; burgomaster and councillor of
Hardewyk; m. Aaltje, probably the dau. of Gerrit Meinten Hoolwerf, who was betrothed to Nysgen Aelts at Hardewyk, March 29, 1612. Issue:
5 Geertrui, b. about 1642; m. Willem Schoonsteyn,
burgomaster of Huyssen. She died at Hoorn in 1681; no issue. A lawsuit was brought against the will of Geertrui (Van Westervelt) Schoonsteyn by Peter Hagen, in the name of his wife against the heirs of Heribert Van Westervelt, by the Solicitor Dr. Anthony Heydenryck, in the name of Cornelia, widow of Galen Keysers. Willem acknowledged that he owed money to Agnes Van Amstel. After the death of Geertrui Schoonsteyn a certain Gyssel Van Vinceler, widow of Herwarden, declared that her deceased mother did not borrow money from Willem Van Westervelt.
6 Heribert, b. about 1645; m. Johanna Botter, dau.
of Jacob Botter Van Arkel ar.d óó Van Ommeren; d. without issue, Oct. 2I, 1680.
3 WILLEM VAN WESTERVELT, son of Heribert (2), b. about 1613, inherited the ìhavezatheîói.e., the manor house called ìWesterveld,î situated at Zwollerker, a small village under Mastenbruck, near the town of Zwolle in the province of Overyssel, and left a son.

7 WILLEM VAN WESTERVELT, son of Willem (3), was living in 1684, and it is supposed that from this branch Willem Lubbertsen and Lubbert Lubbertsen Van Westervelt, the emigrants to New Netherlands in 1662, derive their descent.
